Cut the vest from pink construction paper and set aside. Cut a 4 1/2" x 3" rectangle from a thin white paper such as letter or printer. Find the top center and clip down 1/2". Fold edges down as shown to form a collar. Add some buttons. Real, paper or drawn in ink.

Lay the vest on top of the shirt front. Match the top edges and fasten with tape. The vest will stand away from the shirt just a bit when they are correctly aligned.

Now comes the hard part... carefully cut through the Jacket front along the fold line from bottom center to top center and detach it from the body cone. It should only be fastened with a single piece of tape at the nape of the neck.. Lay it aside for now.

Prepare to put the shirt and vest on Mr. Rabbit by holding them together at the top corners, rolling them in another cone and fastening them to the body cone at the back of the neck and the sides of the trousers. The vest edges do not meet in the back except where they fasten to the neck.

Once you have aligned the vest, shirt and trousers on the body cone so they look comfortable... you're ready for the permanent Jacket placement. Using a thick pencil or a smooth pen, curl the front edges in softly, position the Jacket over the cones. Adjust the Jacket edges to just meet and slightly cover the shirt collar and glue them to the shirt and vest. You can tell if everything is where it belongs because if it is... Mr. Rabbit is wearing a fine blue Jacket, a pink vest, yellow trousers and a crisp white shirt.

Face and Hat: Cut a pink construction paper rectangle 7" x 8 3/4" and roll it into a tall cone. Leave the small end of the cone open just enough to fit over the body cone, inside the shirt collar. Glue the edges securely, cut the wide end of the cone to stand flat and put aside for later.

Cut a pink nose, some teeth and

two face shapes out of card stock

Using a craft knife, carefully cut a slot for the nose, a tiny slit above the lips and the curved lip line in the face. Leave one shape plain as it will be the back of Mr. Rabbit's head. Using paint or a black marker add eyes, eyebrows and any other features you want. I usually go for pink cheeks with my watercolors, but it's not necessary.

To assemble the face - first slip the pink nose through the long slot, leaving about 3/4" on the inside. Tape the nose in place inside and curl it enough to slip the point into the tiny slit just above the lips. Secure the point in place with a dab of glue or a tiny piece of tape. Position the teeth inside the upper lip and tape to the inside across the top edge only.

To assemble the head - Working from the back, place the pink hat cone over the exposed white body cone. Do not attach them together, but leave them free to move. Slip the plain face shape between the Jacket back and the body cone and fasten the Jacket back and the head back together at the top of the Jacket collar. Gently roll the neck of the face piece around you fingers until it can be fitted into the shirt collar over the pink hat cone. Using double-sided tape or glue fasten the cheek edges of the face pieces together to form the head.
