Some days it’s just one thing on top of another. I upgraded to a new “smart” phone, but the people who shipped it aren’t all that “smart” because they neglected to insert a SIM card. They apologized and promised to send a card. It won’t be here until Tuesday.
We’ve been without water all day! The city notified our neighborhood yesterday they would be turning it off at 8 AM and turning it back on by 4:30 PM. It’s been awhile since we’ve had to carry water for necessary day to day functions…like flushing!
Life always gives you a second chance. It’s called tomorrow.
My New Project
A new blank book for daily contemplative Bible Study and meditation. I’ve shared some of my pages with you all before. This book is meant to be a page (or more) a day…because if I’m not doing what I LOVE, I’m wasting my time…and yours.
Love, Hope, Faith and Grace
Designs that I may incorporate into a new set of greeting cards. Told you I was studying butterflies.
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small openingappeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily but it had a swollen body, and tiny shriveled wings. He continued to watch the butterfly because heexpected that at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to support the body, which would contract in time.Neither happened! In fact, butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.In his well intentioned kindness and haste, he did not understand thatthe restricting cocoon and the struggle required to get through the tinyopening were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterflyinto its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achievedits freedom from the cocoon.Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If Godallowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, we would becrippled. We would not be as strong as we could have been. And we could neverfly.Have a great day and a great life, and struggle a little…. Thenfly!
I’m going back to the studio for awhile. Have a great day…
